One of the problems that arises when life appears to be going well is that we begin to forget that we need the Lord. We begin to think we can handle all that comes our way by ourselves, that we are in control. This happened to the Israelites when a group of strangers wandered up to them and asked for a peace treaty. Rather than seeking the Lord and His wisdom, they assumed that they were sufficiently prepared to handle the matter. Little did they know that Canaanites from the land were "Hiding in Plain Sight" before them.
