Topic: AM Service Passage: 1 Corinthians 15:1–15:28

The resurrection of Jesus is the beginning, not the end of the Christian life. Because He lives, we live! Jesus has conquered death and therefore reigns over all His and our enemies. There is true hope in the gospel of the resurrected Christ! No matter how dire your circumstances, you have hope in Christ.

I. The Resurrection is Crucial to the Gospel Message
A. Jesus’ Resurrection is the Gospel
B. Jesus’ Resurrection is What We Preach

II. The Resurrection is Crucial to Our Life Now
A. If Jesus is Not Raised, We Are Still in Our Sins
B. If Jesus is Not Raised, We Have No Hope

III. The Resurrection is Crucial to Our Future
A. Because Jesus Lives, We Live
B. Because Jesus Lives, He Reigns

Questions for consideration: (1) Why is the resurrection so important to the gospel message? How does it affect the way we should look at the cross? (2) Does the resurrection help us to speak about sin? Why should the resurrection be something we tell others about? What does it mean if we are reluctant to speak about it? (3) How does the resurrection affect the way that we view Jesus?
