Youth Ministry

O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. (Psalm 71:17)

The best time to follow the Lord Jesus Christ is right now. Being a disciple of Jesus is not just something for older people who “have it all together.” At Christ Church, we believe that every young person is connected both to the family and the Church. Discipleship begins in the home (Deut. 6:7), and is developed in the community of the Church. We believe that our young men and women can make an impact for Christ. We believe strongly in ministering to youth, but not in isolation from their families. For this reason, we encourage all adults with a heart for the ministry to our youth to participate.

Our Youth Group for grades 6-12 meets each Wednesday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM for Bible study, instruction, fellowship, snacks, and fun activities. Our Bible study is both biblical and practical – an opportunity for young men and women to learn about Christ, the great truths of the Bible, and to talk about the issues of the day and their lives in light of Christ’s work. There is a large group lesson for the entire group, followed by small group discussion broken down by age and gender. Studies have included the Gospel of John, Exodus, Philippians, and currently Galatians. We also have opportunities for serving others and showing the compassion of Christ.

In addition, our Junior (6-8 grade) and Senior High (9-12 grade) Sunday Schools are an opportunity for our young people to go deeper into Scripture and consider well the great God we serve. We welcome you to join us.
